Job Summary:

The IT Manager is responsible for the supervision, implementation and maintenance of the company's information technology needs. You will also oversee and ensure the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware and software within the company. The position is responsible for the Management, Integration and Improvements to NetSuite and various 3rd party applications. Maintain, improve and support for cGMP requirements and planning necessary upgrades. The IT Manager is responsible for researching and making recommendations regarding equipment and computer software. The IT Manager will act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to employees to ensure efficient processing of activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee staffing for Information Technology Department.
  • Provide overall NetSuite and IT knowledge and guidance.
  • Writing and maintaining IT SOPs for system administration, software validation, data security control, data backup, archiving, restore, and recovery upon disaster, qualification / validation protocol / report to build the system per 21 CFR part 11 and FDA draft guidance for industry Data Integrity and Compliance with cGMP.
  • Be familiar with product data management, and experience in the setup and configuring of multi level bill of materials with multi-step manufacturing for efficient data processing.
  • Establishment of an inventory cycle counting system based in NetSuite, using lot numbered inventory.
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor the progress for improvements into the ERP system.
  • Evaluate and recommend ideas to customize the system to the needs of the company.
  • Design and develop software specifications for software validation in NetSuite and 3rd party apps and develop simple software applications to streamline facility operations.
  • Implement and maintain the policies and goals for the IT department to support the company.
  • Responsible for creating and administering disaster plans that will keep the company functional in the event of a crisis.
  • Monitor changing technology and deliver technology updates as needed
  • Plan necessary upgrades to keep everything running smoothly.
  • System administration.
  • Establishment of cGMP data management system.
  • Oversee regular Network Security Audits and Remediation.
  • Engage external Penetration Testers semi-annually.
  • Ensure all systems are secure against intruders that may have gained access to our facilities.
  • Create SOPs and ensure best practices for remote access to systems.
  • Oversee deployment and maintenance of active Cyber Intrusion Detection and Defense system.
  • Responsible for ensuring systems are patched against known security threats, where patches are available.

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

  • NetSuite integration and customization experience.
  • Deep working knowledge of JavaScript, and NetSuite SuiteScript.
  • Considerable experience with complex SQL queries for advanced reporting within NetSuite.
  • Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V..
  • Knowledge of and ability to develop and execute
  • a Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Working knowledge for Microsoft Windows (Client and Server), macOS and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Understand fundamental network security principles.
  • Computer programming and coding.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and technical skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
  • Must be proactive, meticulous, organized and detail oriented.
  • High level of interpersonal and well-developed communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills are required.
  • Ability to maintain Absolute Confidentiality regarding employee and corporate information.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong sense of urgency and follow-up/follow-through with the ability to be highly flexible.
  • Thoroughness is essential.

Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
    • Minimum 5 years or more in a related field, with 1-3 years supervisory experience.
